Carlos is a quiet little fellow with a independent spirit. During most tutoring sessions Carlos can be found working on whatever homework he has been given on his own or helping another student. Currently we have Carlos working on his handwriting as it is almost impossible to decipher what he puts to paper, which renders our offered help to him pretty much useless when we cannot understand the directions he scribbled down during his time in school.
Carlos is 12 years old this year and will turn 13 in May, he’s growing up fast! He’s a little behind in his schooling as he is only in the 5th grade, which puts him about 2 to 3 years behind other kids his age. Carlos has shared with us that he wants to be an engineer one day and that his favorite subject to study is science.
Our primary concern with little Carlos is no different than with the others, however, he in particular seems to have no interest in spiritual talks or Bible studies. We really have a difficult time getting Carlos excited about God or the possibility that God does exist and wants Carlos to know Him. Please join us in praying for Carlos to come to the knowledge of our great God.
