Izayana was a newcomer to The Isaiah Project in 2011. Izayana is such a sweet little 9 year old who has had such a troubled life. Izayana has experienced sexual molestation at the hands of a family member in the past, the scars of which you could easily see in this little one’s demeanor, but thanks be to God she has opened up over the past year and really become such a sweetie. Izayana is really quiet and does not attract much attention to herself, but for some reason I have always been drawn to her by her sweet smile and rough look. She loves to give hugs when trust is there, and we are praying fervently that God will heal whatever pain her little heart is holding.
Izayana is currently in the 4th grade of elementary school and she says that she really enjoys studying in her free time, which may be true because she has consistently received great marks from her teachers. Izayana has also shared with us that her favorite activity at The Isaiah Project is Bible study and prayer times. Needless to say we love it when our kids enjoy connecting with God
