Janer Bayardo Salgado Chavez

Janer-167x300

Janer is one of the quieter ones in our little group of 8 to 11 year old boys we have in the Project.  Not one to often be included in any mischief, Janer usually keeps to himself and does what is asked of him.  Janer’s newest fascination is the game of “thumb-war”, which he never seems to tire of. When asked what he would do if he had all the money in the world and the capability to do anything he wanted Janer said he would most like to travel to Miami and help other people.  Janer wants to be a policeman when he grows up and his favorite subject to study is math.

Janer lives in a single-parent home with his mom Maura, a cook at The Isaiah Project.  He is the middle child of the three kids and loves to give out hugs to whoever will receive them.  With Janer, as well as with the other boys in the Project, we try to look at each moment we can spend with him as a quality time when we can really show Janer what a loving, Christian man looks like.  Praise God Janer at least has a God fearing mom in the household to provide for him what she can physically and spiritually in prayer.

More pictures of Janer taken throughout the year offered below.
