Javier is one of our smarter, more sincere boys of the Project. He is currently in the 5th grade and his grades are generally nothing to be worried about as he works pretty hard to keep them up. Javier can most often be found at his house outside of study hours as he is usually put to work to help out around the house cleaning or taking care of his siblings. Javier definitely has a bright future if he stays on the right path Lord willing and does not allow himself to be distracted by the things of the street as is so often the case with boys coming up on their teen years here in his community. Javier does seem to have a sincere desire to get to know God as he is not one to shy away from asking questions during Bible study. Javier comes from a catholic background, which has raised many questions as we at the Project obviously are evangelical Christians. We are hoping and praying that this desire to know the Creator will grow and be nurtured at The Isaiah Project into a fruitful relationship with Jesus that will not only change Javier’s life but his family’s as well.
