Josúe is a little guy, just seven years old and really quiet. It takes Josúe a long time to warm up to you, or at least that’s been our experience. You definitely will not catch yourself answering a list of questions from Josúe about how something works, why gringos are so white, or any number of other silly questions kids ask adults. Josúe truly just loves being around his friends and playing games like tag or drawing pictures in his notebooks.
Josúe struggles with math and spanish in school, but this is really the norm for most kids of his age and grade in the Project. Josúe is overall a pretty obedient little guy and we don’t have to get on to him much, if we do its usually for playing around when he should be working on his homework or other such issues. Josúe does currently live with both of his parents at home, which is a huge blessing in comparison to some other home situations of other kids in his community. He also has a litter sister who looks just like him, and with which you can often catch him in the streets playing games.

Hi Josue,
I just wanted you to know that I will be praying for you and your family
