Isaác is a newcomer to The Isaiah Project in 2011. Isaác is a special boy. Since his moving to Rafael Rios last year, Isaác has made his presence known in one way or the other. Isaác first started coming to the Project to be part of the Bible studies with his mom last year. It was through our early communication with Isaác’s mom that we became aware of their great need for help and guidance. Isaác and his family fled Guatemala to escape gang violence and abuse that Isaác’s parents worried would be the end of them. However, upon arriving in Nicaragua they quickly found that the help they thought would be offered them by their family was soon found to be non-existent. When we learned of the family’s plight we quickly realized God was calling us to come along side them and show them the love and grace that we are here to provide to anyone and everyone that asks.
It wasn’t long before we felt the Lord calling us to place Isaác in the Project and to begin praying for a sponsor. It has always been such a joy to have the opportunity to feed all of the children two meals five days a week, but even more so with Isaác, being so malnourished and little for his age. God has big plans for this little guy and I truly believe he will be used more and more for His glory as the days go by. We just need to learn how to harness all that energy and direct it to more positive and constructive outlets ![]()
